It is important that you know how to care for your pearl jewellery. South Sea pearls have a grade of four on Mohs scale of hardness, meaning they need special care. Pearls are not brittle and can withstand fairly severe shocks and knocks, but if an object is harder than they are, they have the potential to be scratched. However, this should not discourage you from purchasing the Allure South Sea pearl you have fallen in love with. With proper care, quality South Sea pearls will maintain their beauty and value for generations.

HOW TO STORE PEARL JEWELLERY

Caring for your pearls is simple. When not being worn, your Allure pearl jewellery should be kept separately from your other jewellery and sharp objects. Some common household substances can also damage the pearl and should be avoided when wearing your jewellery. You should also ensure your pearl does not make contact with household cleaning products, such as bleach, vinegar and chlorine. It is best to put your pearl jewellery on after you have applied any perfume, cosmetics or hairspray.

HOW TO CLEAN PEARL JEWELLERY

Clean your pearl jewellery with the Allure cleaning cloth that is provided with each piece of jewellery. Alternatively, you can wipe them with a soft damp cloth dipped in freshwater or light soapy water. If you choose to use detergent or soap make sure you wipe them after with a damp cloth that has been dipped in freshwater.

Do not use any cleaning products on your pearls only household detergent or a mild soap.
